First, a brief flashback to earlier times...

The Front Range has been my home since my family moved to Colorado when I was two years old. I enjoyed school, perhaps because of my passion for reading, and it was great fun working in a bookstore while in high school. Marriage followed graduation and I am blessed that Richard and I share a love that continues to flourish.

I began writing fiction in earnest about a decade after marriage. About then I also became Business Manager for Everett, Zeigel Tumpes & Hand, the coolest architectural firm in Boulder and my responsibilities eventually included everything that wasn't actual architecture. After a brief hiatus during the late 1980s when I did consulting, I returned to the architectural firm, now called OZ Architecture, and resumed my management position as a principal of the firm. From CFO to Managing Principal, then to Marketing Principal, my responsibilities evolved. I also served the community, spending six years on the Board of Directors of Downtown Boulder, Inc. and then three years on the Boulder Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Oh, and in the midst of all of that I somehow found time to climb twenty-four of Colorado's fourteen thousand foot peaks.

As my interest in writing clamored for more attention I retired from OZ, but now it seems I'm working harder than ever as I divide my time between writing new books and marketing plans for published books. My husband Richard and I feel fortunate to have found this special home in Colorado. I also feel fortunate for my life, my friends, my family, and this opportunity to create new worlds. I hope you also have the opportunity to follow your dream.
